Youtube 5mins trailer (五分鐘完整版預告)

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao - 翡翠拉面小笼包

There's a reason why this restaurant is always packed, it's because the food is damn good la :P
I've tried almost all the other branches in Singapore including the Taiwan franchise (鼎泰丰) but the Jurong Point Crystal Jade branch taste is the best (IMHO)

Type: Chinese Restaurant
Name: Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao - 翡翠拉面小笼包
Address: Jurong Point (Level 3)
Rating: 5/5 (i like the taste of this branch only)
Price: Medium level (eat once awhile, actually last time i will come once a month :P)

I think the chef here are all from china, last time i asked they make thousands of dumplings in a day...all sold out...wah lau...

It's always packed bros~!! expect to wait at least 10-20mins during dinner time.

Die Die must try>
Soup dumpling (小笼包)
wiki-soup dumpling is a type of baozi (filled bun or bread-like item) from Eastern China, including Shanghai and Wuxi. These buns are traditionally steamed in bamboo baskets, hence the name.
Last time they use white cabbage as the base and now tracing paper?
Times are really so bad har? But luckily the main dish still taste the same.
Here's how i would recommend you eat this dish :P
Bite a tiny hole on the top-tip, suck the soup inside, then add black vinegar and ginger to savour the entire dumpling :P
Each basket contain 5pcs, normally i can eat 3 basket of these only without the noodles. Shiok~!!

Die Die must try>
Fried Pork Ribs La Mian (炸排骨拉面)
My all time favourites
You get a thick steak kinda pork, seasoned and deep fried...woosh...it's really tasty and juicy at the same time.

La Mian (拉面) aka hand-pulled (make) chinese noodle
Bowl of noodles served in clear chicken broth (originated in China)
I never liked the others which is served in different type of soup and ingredients.
I prefer the original so that i can taste the noodle and broth.

Chinese fried pancakes (手拉葱油饼)
aka Muslim Prata :P No la, actually you can taste that the dough is different. It's a much crispy version.

Trailer: K-20

Nothing much about this Japanese movie on hand but the trailer does looks very interesting. It reminds me of a old movie called "The Shadow" made in 1994, starring Alex Baldwin and Jone Lone. The jap always makes a good trailer for their movie, hopefully, again, the story is as entertaining as it looks. You may go to the official website to see this trailer.

General XMM won a cute pacifier~!!

General XMM won this cute pacifier in a gashaphon machine this evening after dinner. Though he's no longer addicted to it, he knows how funny he looks and insisted i take a photo~!!HAHAHA

Supper Yummy, AL-AZHAR @ bukit timah road

This has been our recently supper place which is very economic and convenient for the west end boys :P

Type: 24 hour muslim kopitiam (cafe)
Name: AL-AZHAR
Address: bukit timah road (opp. beauty world plaza)
Rating: 4/5, considering it's the best 24hr place to eat in the isolated west end.
Price: Commoner level (which is good for us hahahaha)

Teh Limau (Lime Juice)

Teh Tarik (aka Milk Tea, shaken not stirred) hahaha

Kway Teow Goreng (muslim fried noodles)
The looks is not there but trust me, it's delicious :)

Satay Power (mutton) aka (BBQ/Grilled mutton on a stick)
It's surprisingly quite tasty than your average satay club in city~!!

Plaster (aka muslim pancake with an egg on the top)
The most common dish you will find in a muslim cafe.

Remember to bring some poser buddies/khakis so that you can take their photos after the supper (especially when you are damn bored)...hahaha :P

Xbox360 > DEADSPACE

Thanks to brudder PISS-MAN for lenting me this game...(actually he's too coward aka no balls to play this game lah...hahaha) i got a chance to experience it this morning. I loved to play eerie 1st person shooter. It makes my blood boil and perks up my adrenaline...shiok!! ahaha My last eerie experience was "F.E.A.R." but this game really top it on my list. It's now rated 9/10 by gamespot sweet~!!

In DEADSPACE, NO One Can Hear You SCREAM~!!!

The mood and environment (see the smoke?) is damn realistic, noted credits to the sound engineering because every bit of sound in the game makes you jump...or wimp at you knees

I highly recommends that you play in really late hour or in a dark room with the sound at full blast~!! Damn shiok, it's as if you are inside a horror movie (e.g. The ring, Ju-On, shutter...)

This game combines all the fantastic elements of Resident Evil, F.E.A.R. and the horror sci-fi movie "Event Horizon"

Gameplay Trailer

My rating for this game is 5/5, best horror gameplay so far!!

DVD > The Terminator-Ultimate Edition (Jap Version) RARE!!

This is the best DVD catch of today at a very unlikely place.
Japan 2003 copy of "The Terminator"-Ultimate Edition dudes, it's supposed to retail for 3,980 yen (est. SGD$60) in Japan but i got hold of a last copy at my DVD shop for only $14~!! What a catch~!! RAREEe har...hahaha

i simply adore Japanese packaging design, they really throw in a lot of efforts into just the look and cover. It's semi gold and silver plus emboss man..!! Damn chio

The DVD opens 2 fold and uncover 2 dvd within. Very nicely designed i must say

The making is quite "GOOD"as well, considering this movie was made in 1984
The DVD only has Japanese subtitles for the making but it's OK for me, my English is still suffice to understand hahaha. The Movie disc,  however has English and Jap subs...excellent!!

My rating for the movie:
It's a Classic bros 5/5 manz!!
DVD feature and packaging is damn good 5/5.
A collector's item!!

DVD > Shamo (军鸡)

i like this movie (军鸡), didn't expect it to land here on DVD last evening for only $12.90 in my local video shop. I heard some places are selling even cheaper at $9.90 (go check out yours)

By the way, the entire movie is in it's original Cantonese version, there's no Mandarin audio so it's the version i like to collect. I hate to watch HK movie in SG...normally, the essence of the movie is all gone because of the translation. Imagine watching Japanese Anime in mandarin?!? :P

Basically, it's printed by China but the entire disc is HK version, I really don't mind the cheaper version man because there's not much difference. It come with a nicely embossed jacket as well.
Ultimately, i am going for the content.

HK movie's "Making of" is not as comprehensive as Hollywood, maybe they should have set aside some budget for their DVD. Else there's no point owning the movie without the extras bah i guess?

Overall, I think it's a good adaptation of the Japanese comics, directed by a upcoming HK director. My rating is 4/5 for this movie, while DVD feature is only 2/5 (at least better than redcliff)

DVD > Redcliff (赤壁)

You can buy this local distributed dvd if you just want to see the cinema censored "intimate" (few secs) of Tony Leung and Lin Chi Ling...if not, i think you should wait for the International DVD version after the final part is out in DEC i think.

Overall, this local version has nothing on it except the movie, which means no making loh...so down...

The movie is good for me 3.4/5 ( I would gave it a 4 if the story is not so long and draggy)
DVD feature sucks big time -5/5
Best scene/worth your $ : the intimate scenes LOLZz....no lah, it's really quite a good movie, if you prefer true facts of the event then you are better off watching the china drama series.

humorous Osaka people

Seems like Osaka (japan) people has a real sense of humour. Wonder how will SG people will react? Sure kanna sue la bro~!!!hahahaha

Hock Lam Beef Kway Teow (seah street)

Decided to start this new label/topics on "yummy-nots" because i think nowadays people experiences more bad food than good. My terms of "good" food is not necessary expensive nor am I trying to bad-mouthed the stall owners. (IMHO) i think SG service and food quality are not catching up to the modern standard, that's all (新加坡现时现在的服务态度和食物素质是要不得的...要以时拼进,而不落后他国) Taste is very subjective so please do not flame me if you have second thoughts and i warmly welcome any kind suggestions/comments you have otherwise. In any way, if the stall owner reads my blog (as if they will hahaha) I hope they "might" want to improve on either their service or food quality...so no hard feelings ok? lolz I will try to keep my comments short and sharp, not long-winded cos' I am not a food critics.

1st off the shelves today is my lunch at Hock Lam Beef Kway Teow @ Seah Street (opp. Bras Basah Road) I clearly remember their stall was at this very location for at least 5 years ago? Today, apparently was quite a bad choice.

This misery portion and few strips of "hei bee" shrimp-sized beef cost me $5!!!

Wah lau, towkay (boss) can you imagine how life becomes more miserable after having your food? We all know SG now recession lah but can't you make us feel more happy while having a decent meal? I sincerely hope you "beef up" the portion while not losing it's tenderness. Really...even a beef teriyaki MOS burger taste better and cheaper than this.
Here's my yummy-nots verdict:
Food: 2/5 ( so slim that i can't even taste the beef goodness)
Service: 2.5/5 (mediocre)

Transformers are heading for Hollywood and Singapore.

(source from yahoo)
Giant robots are heading for Hollywood and Singapore.
A new theme-park ride based on the hit movie "Transformers" is being developed for Universal Studios, the company announced Monday.

The new rides, scheduled to debut in 2011, incorporate robotics and 3-D, high-definition technology.

Hasbro Inc. and DreamWorks Pictures are helping to create the new ride, and "Transformers" director Michael Bay and producer Steven Spielberg will consult on the its development, said Tom Williams, chairman and chief executive of Universal Parks & Resorts.

The ride, like the film, shows humans caught in an intergalactic war between armies of giant robots that can change into cars, planes and other technological creations.

Hooray~~!!!by then 3 years later, me and General XMM can go for inspection liao :P
They should also have a megan fox attached with the ride!!hahaha
